titleOfInvention NEW MODELS OF METHYLIC ESTER CDDO
abstract A triterpenoid compound, methyl 2-cyano-3,12-dioxoleana-1,9 (1 1) -dien-28-oate (CDDO methyl ester), has a non-crystalline, vitreous solid form and a crystalline non-hydrate form which can be prepared, for example, from a saturated methanol solution. The vitreous form exhibits an increased biological availability over the non-hydrated crystalline form. Each form of CDDO methyl ester is a superior candidate for use, typically in solid dosage form, for the treatment of a variety of inflammatory conditions, generally associated with inflammation.
