abstract Tetracycline-enriched food premixes and methods for their stabilization are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a pharmaceutical premix comprises 15 wt%. up to 65% by weight 20% by weight of a pharmaceutically acceptable chlorotetracycline hydrochloride. up to 85% by weight of a carrier and 0.1 wt%. up to 10 wt% of a binder, where all quantities are based on the total weight of the feed supplement. Also included are methods of preparing a pharmaceutical premix, the use of a chlorotetracycline hydrochloride in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of microbial infections in animals, and a feed composition.
