abstract | The present invention provides a tumor enhancing agent for enhancing the tumor activity of an agent of such an action, comprising tegafur in a therapeutically effective amount, gimeracil in an amount to enhance the anti-tumor effect, and potassium oteracil in an amount such as to inhibit side effects, with the substance enhancing the action against tumors comprising at least one member of the group with folic acid and its pharmacologically acceptable salts in an amount active to enhance the action of a j tumors. provides an antitumor agent comprising, as active ingredients, tegafur in a therapeutically effective amount, gimeracil in an amount to enhance the antitumor effect, oteracil potassium in an amount effective to inhibit side effects, and at least one member of the group containing folinic acid and pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof in an amount to enhance the action against tumors. provides a method of enhancing the action against tumors of an agent with such an action which method comprises the step of administering to the patient the aforementioned tumor enhancing agent. and provides a method of treating cancer which comprises the step of administering to a patient the aforementioned agent against tumors. |
