abstract The present invention provides a process for topically selective DTPA derivatives synthesis, which eliminates the need for separation of intermediates by ion-exchange chromatography. In addition, the process, as it provides a single topoisomer of the chelating compound, ensures the topical synthesis of desired chelating compounds useful as radiolabelling agents.
