| abstract |
The invention relates to a liquid preparation for veterinary medicine containing meloxicam as the first active substance, pentamethasone hydroiodide as the second active substance and at least one diluent. An object of the invention is also a method of preparing and using it. According to the invention, a mixture of meloxicam and pentathamate hydroiodide is made available for the first time. Treatment of mammals with this mixture has so far not been possible because the stability required for use could not be achieved. The preparation according to the invention, however, exhibits surprising stability. The preparation can be used as a combination preparation for the treatment of mastitis and respiratory tract infections. |
