The present procedure relates to the branch of chemistry, and in particular to the demineralization of exoskeletons of invertebrate organisms for obtaining chitin derivatives. This invention aims at demineralization of exoskeletons of invertebrate organisms, in the process of obtaining chitin derivatives. The procedure is based on the carbonation of carbonates, present in exoskeletons of invertebrate organisms, in the presence of cation exchanger, and a constant CO2 flow. This invention is applicable to obtaining derivatives of chitin and other organic compounds containing carbonates as impurity. |
