titleOfInvention MOLUSQUICIDE NATURAL COMPOSITION VS. BIOMPHALARIA HAVANENSIS, POTENTIAL HOSPEDERO OF SCHISTOSOMA MANSONI
abstract This invention is related to chemical synthesis, the modification of secondary metabolites of botanical origin and is related to the use of these derivatives with molluscicidal action. Biomphalaria havanensis, in the epidemiological control of intermediate hosts of schistosomosis. The process is based on the use of the total resin acids present in the Cuban rosin, obtained by means of hydrodestilation of the resin isolated from species of PinĂ¡ceas (genus. Pinus) that inhabit the western area of the Cuban archipelago. This eco-sustainable mixture is treated hydrothermally with subsequent acid base regeneration. The resin acids generated show a significant selective molluscicidal action against potential hosts of the Schistosoma mansoni parasite.
