titleOfInvention Method of 1-methoxy-2-propanone preparation by means of 1-methoxy-2-propanol's oxidation
abstract The solution concerns a method of preparation 1-methoxy-2-propanone by oxidation of 1-methoxy-2-propanone by molecular oxygen at a temperature of 60 to 100 degrees C in neutral water environment in presence of catalysers based on palladium applied on active carbon Pd/C activated by water-insoluble compounds of Mn, B1 and possibly Zn and Cd, precipitated on the surface of Pd/c catalysers. The quantity of the used catalyser with regard to 1-methoxy-2-propanol is 0.2 to 1.0 percent by weight of palladium. The solution can be used in chemical industry in production of pesticides based on 2-methyl-6-ethylaniline.
