abstract A method of preparation of diamino-platinous complex of general formula II, where R1, R2, R3 a R4 are H or C1-4-alkyl and two X substituents are halogen atoms or together form groups of formulae IVa, IVb, IVc or IVd, where R5 and R6 are H or C1-4-alkyl and m is 1 or 2, based on the reaction of diamine of general formula V, where R1 to R4 have the abovementioned meaning, with a compound of general formula VI, where M is an atom capable of forming a monovalent cation and Hal is a halogen atom, causing a dihalogen diamino-platinous complex of general formula IIa, where the general symbols have the abovementioned meaning, and this is possibly left to react with dicarboxylic acid of formulae VIIa, VIIb, VIIc or VIId, where the general symbols have the abovementioned meaning, or with their salts. Compounds of general formula II have antitumour effect.<IMAGE>
