titleOfInvention Catalyst consisting of palladium and polymer ion exchanger compounds as carrier and method of its making
abstract Catalytic agent consisting of compounds of palladium and polymer ion exchange resin as carrier contains active acid sulphonic groups -SO3H and therefore also palladium compounds only in superficial parts of the polymer skeleton corresponding to 0.5 to 50 percent of the polymer mass of the ion exchange resin. The production method of the above mentioned catalytic agent is characteristic by the fact that the basic polymer is treated by sulphonating agent, like sulphuric acid, sulphur trioxide, or chlorosulfonic acid; the sulfonation reaction is stopped after achieving the required degree of sulfonation and the basic ion exchange resin prepared in this manner is treated with a solution containing palladium ions or complexes.
