abstract Multifunctional wire drawing lubricant contains 40 to 70% by weight. reaction products of mono, di- or triethanolamine with fatty acids having carbon numbers in the C 10 -C 18 molecule, 10 to 30 wt. of natural triglycerides of fatty acids with a minimum viscosity of 60 mm 2 s -1 at 50 ° C, preferably castor oil and 10 to 30% by weight of ethoxylated alcohols, phenols or aliphatic amines C6 to C18 containing 5 to 25 ethylene oxide units per molecule The multifunctional lubricant may further comprise 0.5 to 5% by weight of a high pressure additive formed by reaction products of ethanolamines or primary, secondary, tertiary, aliphatic or cyclic amines or polyamines containing 2 to 18 carbon atoms per molecule. with phosphoric acid or its esters, based on the total weight of the composition.
