abstract | 1488334 Chlorine-containing hydroxy-substituted thionophosphate esters BAYER AG 19 March 1976 [21 March 1975] 11165/76 Heading C2P Novel compounds of the general formula in which R and R 1 are each a C 1 -C 4 alkyl radical are obtained by reacting a thionophosphorus acid diester: (RO)(R 1 O)P(S)H with chloral in the presence of a basic catalyst and optionally in the presence of an inert solvent. The reactants are preferably employed in equimolar amounts and the basic catalyst is preferably added in an amount of between 2 and 10 mole per cent. The basic catalyst may be an aliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic amine or an alkali metal hydroxide or carbonate. The products have pesticidal properties and may be used as active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions. |
