abstract Compositions useful in the treatment of acute and chronic bacterial, viral and fungal infections of the inner, middle and outer ear of mammals are described herein. Such compositions comprise povidone iodine and at least one steroid, and may also have additional components previously known useful for the treatment of ear infections. Methods for using such compositions include the treatment of humans, including humans who have otic infections.
