abstract Isoquinolone derivatives of the general formula are provided.The compounds are antagonists of NK3 and useful for the treatment of, e.g. psychosis and schizophrenia. 1.- A compound according to formula Ien where A represents N, CH or CR1; wherein each R 1 independently represents hydrogen, C 1-6 alkyl, C 2-6 alkenyl, C 2-6 alkynyl, -C (O) - C 1-6 alkyl, -C (O) -C 2-6 alkenyl, -C (O) -C2-6 alkynyl, -C (O) -O-C1-6 alkyl, -C (O) -O-C2-6 alkenyl, -C (O) -O-C2-6 alkynyl or phenyl, wherein said phenyl, C1-6 alkyl, C2-6 alkenyl or C2-6 alkynyl is optionally substituted with one or more substituents selected from halogen, hydroxyl, halo- C1-6 alkyl, nitro, C1-6 alkoxy, and NR2R3; wherein X represents hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl, C2-6 alkenyl, C2-6 cyano alkynyl, -OR2, -OC (O) R2, -OC (O) NR2R3, -C (O) -NR2R3, -N ( R2) C (O) R3, -N (R2) -C (O) NR2R3 or NR2R3, or X represents a monocyclic, bicyclic or tricyclic part having 4 to 16 ring constituent atoms one of which is nitrogen, and where one, two or three ring constituent atoms, additionally, may be heteroatoms selected from N, O and S, and wherein said monocyclic, bicyclic or tricyclic part may be optionally substituted with one or more substituents W, wherein W is selected from hydrogen, hydroxy, halogen, cyano, (= O), -O- (CH2) cO-, where c is 2 or 3 (spiro), (CH2) d, where d is 5 or 6 (spiro), alkyl C1-6, C2-6 alkenyl, C2-6 alkynyl, C1-6 alkoxy, -C (O) -C1-6 alkyl, -C (O) -C2-6 alkenyl, -C (O) -C2 alkynyl 6, -C (O) -O-C1-6 alkyl, -C- (O) -O-C2-6 alkenyl, -C (O) -O-C2-6 alkynyl, -OC (O) -C1 alkyl -6, -OC (O) -C2-6 alkenyl, ...
