titleOfInvention COMPOUNDS CONTAINING BORO AND VITMINA C AND A REDUCED PHOSPHORY CONTENT AND METHODS TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF PHOSPHORUS AND TO INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF ABSORPTION OF PHOSPHORUS BY AN ANIMAL
abstract 1. A method to reduce the incidence and extent of lesions in the cartilage and subarticular bone of an animal, which comprises: supplying the animal with an animal feed comprising a boron complement and vitamin C complement characterized in that the concentration of the boron complement in said increase for animals is from about 1 to about 500 ppm and the concentration of vitamin C complement in said animal feed is from about 1 to 1000 ppm. 2. The method of claim 1 characterized in that the concentration of the vitamin C complement is from about 1 to about 500 ppm. 3. The method of claim 1 wherein the concentration of vitamin C complement is from about 25 to 500 ppm. 4. The method of claim 1 characterized in that the concentration of the boron complement is from about 1 to about 150 ppm. 5. The method of claim 1 wherein the concentration of the boron complement is from about 25 to about 50 ppm. 6. The method of claims 1-5 wherein the animal feed is a liquid. 7. The method of claims 1-6 characterized in that the boron complement is chosen from the group consists of organic compounds containing boron, inorganic compounds containing boron, minerals containing boron, plant materials with high levels of boron, microorganisms with high levels of boron and yeast with high levels of boron. 8. The method of claims 1-6 wherein the vitamin C supplement is selected from the group consisting of ascorbic acid, sodium ascorbate, calcium ascorbate, potassium ascorbate and magnesium ascorbate
