| abstract | An aqueous hard surface cleaner with an improved dirt removal comprising: (a) an anionic, non-ionic or amphoteric surfactant, and mixtures thereof with optionally, a quaternary ammonium surfactant, the total amount of said surfactant is present in a effective cleaning amount; (b) at least one water soluble or dispersible solvent having a vapor pressure of at least 0.001 mm Hg at 25 ° C, said at least one solvent, is present in an amount that is solubilized or dispersible-effective ; (c) tetrapotasio ethylenediamine - tetraacetate (K4EDTA) or tripotassium ethylenediamine - tertraacetate (K3EDTA) as a chelating agent, said K4EDTA or K3EDTA is present in an amount effective to increase the removal of dirt in said cleaner; (d) at least one abrasive in an effective abrasive amount; and (e) the rest, water. A method for removing dirt from a hard surface, said method comprises applying to said dirt, a hard surface cleaner comprising: (a) both an amphoteric non-ionic anionic surfactant and mixtures thereof with optionally a quaternary ammonium surfactant, the total amount of said surfactant is present in an effective cleaning amount; (b) at least one water soluble or water dispersible organic solvent having a vapor pressure of at least 0.001 mm Hg at 25 ° C, said at least one organic solvent is present in an amount that is effectively solubilized or dispersed; ( c) tetrapotasio ethylenediamine tetraacetate (K4EDTA) or tripotassium ethylenediamine tetraacetate (K3EDTA) as a chelating agent, said K4EDTA or K3EDTA is present in an amount effective to increase the removal of dirt in said cleaner; (d) at least one abrasive in an effective abrasive amount; and the rest, water. |
