abstract Procedure for the preparation of adrenaline or a salt by the addition of adrenaline, characterized in that in a first stage N-protected adrenalone, as an educt, is subjected to asymmetric hydrogenation with [Rh (COD) CI] 2 and a chiral phosphine ligand and two teeth as a catalyst system, then, in a second stage, the resulting N-protected adrenaline precipitates under basic conditions and, in a third stage, the protective group of N is separated under acidic conditions.
