abstract The acylated aminosalicylamide compound of formula I: Wherein: a. m is 1 or 2; b. n is 1-4; c. X is hydrogen H, halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, C2-C4 alkenyl, cyclopropyl, cyano, NO2, C1-C4 haloalkyl, hydroxy, C1-C3 alkoxy, C1-C3 alkylthio, C1-C3 alkylsulfonyl, alkylsulfinyl C1-C3, SCO C1-C2 alkyl, Nhalkyl C1-C3, N (alkyl) 2 C1-C3, NHCO C1-C3 alkyl, NHC (O), N-alkyl C1-C3 alkyl, NHCONHH C1-C3 alkyl or NHCON (alkyl) 2 C1-C2, C (O) Rx, C (O) ORx or C (O) NRxRx, in which Rx is H or C1-C4 alkyl; d. Y is selected from the group consisting of O, S, NOH, NH or NOC1-3 alkyl. and. Z is selected from the group consisting of H, C1-C2 alkyl, CH3, NH2 or Me2 N, and f. R1 -R6 are defined as follows: (i) each of R1 -R6 is independently selected from the group consisting of: (1). H, halogen and cyano, (2) C1-C8 alkyl (straight or branched chain), C2-C8 alkenyl (straight or branched chain), C2-C8 alkenyl (straight or branched chain), C3-C8 cycloalkyl and C4 cycloalkenyl C8, each of the above groups being optimally substituted with one or more of: OR7, SR7, SOR7a, SO2 R7a, NR8 R8a, halogen, - 2-cyano, (C3-C8) cycloalkyl, Si (C1-C4 alkyl) 3, C (O) OR7a, aryl, or heterocycle (3). When any two of R1-R6 are on the same carbon, they can combine to form a CR12 R13 alkylene, ketone, NOH, NO C1-C3 alkyl, and (7). When either of two R1 AND # 8209; R6 are on the same carbon, they can combine to form a 3-8 membered ring that can contain oxygen, in addition to carbon, the ring being optimally substituted with one or more C1 AND #alkyl # 8209; C4, C2 alkenyl AND # 8209; C4, OR7, SR7, SOR7a, SO2 R7a, NR8 R8a, halogen, cyano or carboalkoxy C1 AND # 8209; C4; (ii) also in which: (1). R9 comprises H, C (O) H, CO alkyl C1 AND # 8209; C7, CO alkyl C2 AND # 8209; C7, COaryl, CONHalkyl C1 AND # 8209; C6, CONHaryl, CONalkyl2, SO2 C1 alkyl AND # 8209; C6, SO2 NHalkyl C1 AND # 8209; C6 or SO2 N (alkyl) 2 C1 AND # 8209; C4, (5). R10 is H or C1-alkyl AND # 8209; C4, (6). R11 comprises H, C1 alkyl AND # 8209; C8, C2 alkenyl AND # 8209; C8, C3 cycloalkyl AND # 8209; C8, aryl or heterocycle, and (7). R12 and R13 are the same or different and comprise H, C1 alkyl # 8209; C7, C1 haloalkyl AND # 8209; C6, C3-C8 cycloalkyl, aryl, heterocycle, cyano, carboalkoxy, C1 AND # 8209; C6, alkylAND # 8209 ; C1 AND # 8209 sulfonyl; C6, arylsulfonyl or C1 and # 8209 alkylsulfinyl; C6, or R12 and R13 being linked in a C3-C8 alkyl ring, (8). Each of the terms aryl and heterocycle include substituted and unsubstituted forms; (iii) R1 AND # 8209; R6 may be the same or different with the proviso that at least one of R1 AND # 8209; R6 must be different from hydrogen; (iv) R1 AND # 8209; R6 are independently cis or trans one or the other and the amide nitrogen, and when n = 2 the amide nitrogen is axial or equatorial, (v) R1 R6 are in any substitution pattern around the alicyclic ring in accordance with the chemical bonding rules; and any of the alicyclic rings contain 0AND # 8209; 2 endocyclic double bonds, where the ring size and substitution pattern are allowed according to the chemical bonding rules, since no heteroatom is attached to the bonded ring carbons double; and hydrates, salts and complexes of the above.
