abstract A 1,3-oxazin-4-one derivative of formula (I): in which W represents -NR6; R1 represents thiophene optionally substituted with one to three groups that may be the same or different, selected from halogen, hydroxy, alkyl lower, lower alkoxy, lower haloalkoxy and -S (O) n R7, -CO2 R7, COR7, cyano, nitro and phenoxy; R2 represents hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower haloalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, alkenyl, lower haloalkenyl, alkoxyalkenyl, -CHO, -COR7 -CO2 R7, -CH2 NO2, and the lower alkyl which is substituted with a group selected from -S (O) m R7 and -OCOR7; R3 represents phenyl optionally substituted with one to five groups that may be the same or different, selected from halogen, lower alkyl, halo lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower haloalkoxy, -S (O) n R7, -CO2 R7, -COR7, cyano, nitro, -OH, phenoxy, -NR8 R9 and -SF5; or a cycloalkyl group containing from three to six carbon atoms, optionally substituted by lower alkyl, lower haloalkyl, or one or more halogen atoms that may be the same or different; R4 and R5 independently represent lower alkyl; R6 represents hydrogen; R7 represents lower alkyl or lower haloalkyl, R8 and R9 independently represent hydrogen or R7; and m and n represent zero, one or two; or a salt thereof acceptable in agriculture.
