titleOfInvention | Patient interface |
abstract | A patient interface for delivering a flow of breathable gas to an entrance to the airway of a patient at a positive pressure relative to ambient air pressure while the patient is sleeping to improve sleep disordered breathing. The patient interface includes: an oral cushion forming at least a portion of an oral cushion plenum pressurizable to a therapeutic pressure, wherein the oral cushion includes an oral seal forming structure constructed and arranged to form a seal with a region of a patient's face surrounding an entrance to the patient's mouth below the patient's nose; a flexible front surface comprising a first opening for flow of breathable gas into and/or out of the oral pad plenum, and a pair of lower headgear connectors attached to the flexible front surface; and a positioning and stabilizing structure configured to connect the pair of lower headgear connectors and provide a force to maintain the oral seal forming structure in a therapeutically effective position on the patient's head. |
