abstract A wheel speed sensor and a sensing head (1) thereof are provided, the wheel speed sensor comprises a sensing head (1), a shell (2) and a transmission cable (3), wherein the shell (2) accommodates and fixes at least part of the sensing head part (1) and one end of the transmission cable (3) in an injection molding way, the sensor head (1) is a separately formed unit before injection molding the housing (2) and comprises a housing (10), at least one pair of connection terminals (11) and a sensor chip element (20), wherein the connection terminals (11) are electrically connected to the sensor chip element (20), the shell (10) accommodates and fixes the sensor chip element (20) and one end of the connecting terminal (11) in the shell in an injection molding mode, the other end of the connecting terminal (11) is exposed outside the shell (10) and is electrically connected with the transmission cable (3). The wheel speed sensor according to the present invention has a wider applicable range.
