abstract The utility model discloses a connector with functions of plugging force reduction and convenient plugging. The connector comprises a plug and a socket. When the plug is inserted into the socket, a guiding metal housing (4) is contacted with an arc surface (21) of a lock button (10); and the lock button (10) is pressed by a downward component force of a pressing force. The lock button (10) and a pressing plate (11) are contacted by a wedge surface. The lock button (10) pushes the pressing plate (11) to move forwardly along the embedment direction, so that the distance between two arc conductive reeds (27) is increase by the pressing plate (11). Therefore, pins of the socket are not contacted with the arc conductive reeds. When the pins are located at the right positions, the lock button upsprings from a lock hole (24), thereby realizing locking. The provided connector has the following beneficial effects: the plugging operation becomes convenient and plugging force is little or does not exist during the pin plugging process, thereby substantially prolonging the service life of the connector; the connector dimension is reduced and more pins are arranged; and the manufacturing and processing difficulty of the pins and jacks is reduced.
