The swinging thruster of the underwater robot comprises an end cover fixed to a sealed cavity of the underwater robot, a propeller driving cavity, propeller blades, a fixing frame with a round hole, a worm and gear box, a worm and gear driving motor, a swinging output shaft, a swinging shaft, two rolling bearings, two nylon bevel gears and two angular contact ball bearings. The motor drives a worm and a gear. A bevel gear pair is used for converting rotation movement along the axis of the swinging output shaft into horizontal swinging of the propeller driving cavity thorough the swinging shaft, so that a propeller swings and thrusting force is provided for the underwater robot to swing in different directions. According to the swinging thruster for the underwater robot, the whole swinging propeller is adopted and extra transmission is not needed by the propeller, transmission losses are small, the high efficiency of rotation forwarding of the propeller is ensured, the swinging angle is large, the structure is simple, and the swinging thruster is reliable in installation, maintaining and operation.
