The card reader capable of automatically identifying the polarity of the mobile audio interface comprises an audio connector and an audio interface self-adapting circuit. The audio interface self-adapting circuit comprises an identifying module, a control module and a selective switch module. The identifying module is connected with the audio connector and used for detecting electric potentials of a third pin and a fourth pin of the mobile audio connector where the audio interface is inserted and sending the electric potentials to the control module. The control module judge the polarities of the third pin and the fourth pin of the mobile audio interface according to levels of the detected electric potentials of the third pin and the fourth pin of the mobile audio interface and based on a judgment result, controls the selective switch to respectively connect the third pin and the fourth pin of the mobile audio connector with a signal outputting end of the control module and the ground or the ground and the signal outputting end of the control module. The card reader can automatically identify and adapt to the polarity of the mobile audio interface and is strong in generality.
