abstract The utility model relates to an efficient three-way catalyst which comprises a shell body, a fire-proofing layer, a purification layer, short pipes and a flange. The fire-proofing layer is installed on the inner wall of the shell body, the purification layer is installed on the inner wall of the fire-proofing layer, an inlet of the shell is connected with the flange through the short pipe, an outlet of the shell body is connected with the flange through the short pipe, and a sensor nut is installed in the short pipe of the outlet of the shell body. When high-temperature automobile exhaust passes through the purification layer, the activity of three gases, namely carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon compounds and nitrous oxides is enhanced, and the three gases are precipitated to oxidation-reduction reaction, wherein the carbon monoxide is oxidized into carbon dioxide which is colorless and nontoxic, the hydrocarbon compounds are oxidized into water and carbon dioxide at high temperature, the nitrous oxides are deoxidized into nitrogen and oxygen. Three harmful gases are changed into harmless gases and therefore the automobile exhaust is purified.
