abstract A dualistic compound filter stick which can selectively reduce the volatile carbonyl compounds in the cigarette smoke includes a filter core (1) as well as an inner coating layer and an outer coating layer (3) coated on the filter core. The filter stick is characterized in that the filter core (1) is a dualistic compound filter core that is alternatively jointed by an acetic acid fiber section (1a) and an amidocyanogen material section (1b) made by acetic acid fiber and surfactant. Compared with the prior art, the utility model has the characteristic of being able to reduce the harmful volatile carbonyl compounds in the cigarette smoke selectively (such as: formaldehyde, aldehyde, acetone, acrolein, propionaldehyde, crotonaldehyde, 2-butanone and butyraldehyde). The extent can reach more than 20 percent; thereby reaching the goal of reducing the harm of the cigarette.
