titleOfInvention Anti-HPV antigen immune response induced by composition comprising HPV antigen and stress protein or its expression vector
abstract The present invention relates to compositions useful for inducing an immune response against HPV protein antigens displayed by human papillomavirus (HPV) or infected cells including cells from cervical cancer and other tumors. In one embodiment, the composition comprises an HPV protein antigen linked to a stress protein (or heat shock protein (Hsp)). In another embodiment, the composition comprises an expression vector comprising an expressible form of a sequence encoding an HPV protein antigen and a sequence encoding a stress protein. The present invention also relates to a composition comprising a stress protein linked to an HPV antigen and another pharmaceutically acceptable component, a fusion protein and a conjugate of a stress protein-HPV protein antigen, and a composition encoding a stress protein and an HPV protein antigen The fusion protein of the antigen sequence and the expression vector capable of directing the expression of the fusion protein in the cells of the subject. The invention also relates to the use of these compositions.
