The invention belongs to the technical field of breeding, and in particular relates to a method for improving the color of beef. The invention provides a method for improving beef color, which specifically comprises: feeding cattle with a diet supplemented with yeast and selenium; and administering sodium selenite and vitamin E injection 30 days before the cattle are slaughtered. In the present invention, the ration containing yeast selenium is first used to feed cattle, which can be digested and absorbed by animals and deposited into the muscles, thereby changing the antioxidant capacity, meat color and flavor of the muscles, and at the same time, sodium selenite vitamins are given 30 days before slaughtering. E injection, the sodium selenite vitamin E injection can act as an antioxidant, slow down the oxidation of deoxymyoglobin and oxymyoglobin to form brown methemoglobin, and slow down the darkening of the flesh. It can be seen that the method of the present invention can improve the color of beef and slow down the process of darkening of meat color. |
