titleOfInvention A method to enhance the degradation efficiency of typical PPCPs by UV-LED/chlorine system using magnetic zinc ferrite nanorods
abstract The invention belongs to the technical field of water treatment, and in particular relates to a method for using magnetic zinc ferrite nanorods to enhance the efficiency of UV-LED/chlorine system to degrade typical PPCPs. The method of the invention is as follows: ZnSO 4 ·7H 2 O, (NH 4 ) 2 Fe(SO 4 ) 2 ·6H 2 O, react with oxalic acid, and the precursors are calcined to prepare the magnetic zinc ferrite nanorods, and then the magnetic zinc ferrite nanorods are prepared by calcination. The prepared magnetic zinc ferrite nanorods were added to water containing PPCPs, and sodium hypochlorite was added to conduct the photocatalytic degradation reaction of PPCPs under UV‑LED irradiation. The UV-LED/chlorine/magnetic zinc ferrite nanorod system provided by the invention has high catalytic activity, can quickly generate a large amount of active substances such as OH, Cl and O 2 , and the removal rate of carbamazepine is as high as 90% within 30 minutes. % or more; and the magnetic zinc ferrite nanorods can achieve efficient separation of photo-generated electron-hole pairs and continuous regeneration of active sites, high cycle stability, high saturation magnetization and superparamagnetic properties, and can be used in an external magnetic field. It can achieve rapid separation from the solution under low temperature, with high recycling efficiency and excellent catalytic degradation performance.
