abstract The present application discloses a flame-retardant nylon material and a preparation method thereof, wherein the preparation method includes the steps of melting nylon and filling the melted nylon into chiral helical silica nanotubes; Helical silica nanotubes, glass fibers, modified asbestos, compatibilizers and anti-aging additives are mixed and heated and kneaded with a kneader for at least 10 minutes to obtain a mixture; the obtained mixture is melted and extruded through a twin-screw extruder to obtain a composite particles; the composite particles are cooled and dried to obtain flame retardant nylon material. The present invention can obtain nylon material with flame retardant properties.
