abstract The present disclosure relates to the technical field of aqueous zinc ion batteries, and in particular provides a functional aqueous zinc ion battery electrolyte and a preparation method and application thereof. Functional aqueous zinc-ion battery electrolytes include additives, electrolyte salts, and solvents. The additive is one or more of soluble antimony salts, sulfonamide compounds or lignosulfonates. The invention also specifically discloses the preparation method of the functional aqueous zinc ion battery electrolyte and its application in the aqueous zinc ion battery. The invention effectively solves the problems of uncontrollable dendrite growth and irreversible side reactions in the application of water-based zinc ion batteries in the prior art.
