The present invention provides compositions containing isomerically pure forms of neurosteroids that allow preferential modulation of different subtypes of GABA A receptors, such as preferential modulation of α4β3δ GABA A receptors over α1β2γ2 GABA A receptors . The present invention also provides methods of treating GABA A disorders using such compositions. |
