The invention belongs to the technical field of batteries, and discloses a method for refining a cobalt-free positive electrode material, a cobalt-free positive electrode material and a lithium ion battery. The method includes the following steps: 1) mixing lithium salt, cobalt-free precursor, dopant and oxalic acid, and sintering once; 2) mixing the cobalt-free positive electrode material prepared by one-time sintering with a cracking aid, and ball milling to obtain cobalt-free positive electrode material. By preparing the polycrystalline ball positive electrode material, and using a cracking aid and ball milling to complete the rupture of the polycrystalline ball, the invention can better disperse the primary particles, reduce the agglomeration of the primary particles, and convert the primary particle balls into nano-monocrystalline positive electrode materials. Eliminate the problems of weak particle binding force and internal stress in the cycle process of polycrystalline particles, and improve the cycle performance and particle strength of single crystal cathode materials. At the same time, the cracking aid in the present invention can also absorb residual alkali on the surface of the cobalt-free positive electrode material prepared by one-time sintering, thereby reducing the gas production process of the cobalt-free positive electrode material in the subsequent process. |
