abstract The invention discloses a catalyst for methanol electro-oxidation and a preparation method thereof, and relates to the field of nano-catalyst materials. The catalyst of the invention is a Zn-N-C-wrapped PtZn δ /C catalyst with a nest-like structure, wherein the nest-like shell is a nitrogen-doped porous carbon skeleton material coordinated with Zn, and is coated on the surface of the PtZn active center . The electronic modulation of the active center PtZn δ by Zn-N-C improves the reactivity and accelerates the reaction kinetics, exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity for methanol oxidation, and weakens the poisoning effect of CO intermediates during the reaction; Zn-N- C weakens the dissolution and agglomeration of metals in the reaction and improves the overall stability of the catalyst; the Zn‑N‑C nested shell has a large specific surface area and pore size capacity, which can pre-enrich methanol and improve the methanol near the active center concentration.
