abstract The invention discloses a dual-nuclear iridium complex whose structural formula is shown in formula (I): Wherein, the complex represented by formula (I) is named Ir-pq-2S. The present invention studies the anticancer activity and mechanism of the binuclear iridium complex. The results show that the complex has excellent antitumor activity and photodynamic therapy activity, and can be used as a potential new therapeutic drug to induce ferroptosis and apoptosis in cancer cells.
