abstract The invention provides a film material with dual response to deformation and discoloration to methanol vapor, and a preparation method and application thereof. The material of the invention is prepared from metal-organic framework compounds and high molecular polymers by simple solution casting and chemical etching methods. It can produce reversible crimping deformation and obvious discoloration visible to the naked eye in methanol solvent vapor. The minimum concentration of methanol vapor that can respond is 1 vol%, and the fastest response time in methanol atmosphere can reach 0.8s. After 20 cycles of testing It can still maintain good curling deformation ability. The discoloration performance is realized by the inverse opal structure layer on the surface of the membrane material, which is produced with the angle change of the movement and deformation of the membrane material, and the deformation and discoloration have good synergy. The material of the invention can be applied to the visual sensing of methanol gas, such as a chemically responsive soft intelligent robot, a gas mask canister end-of-life indicator, and the like.
