The present invention relates to a medical tool comprising a deflectable distal end, at least a puller wire and a deflection assembly. The at least puller wire has a first end coupled to the distal end of the medical tool and is configured to move to deflect the distal end. The deflection assembly is coupled to at least the second end of the puller wire and is configured to control deflection of the distal end. The deflection assembly includes a first gear having a first axis of rotation; and a second gear having a second axis of rotation and including a serrated surface for integration with the first gear. The serrated surface is inclined relative to the second axis of rotation, and when the first gear rotates, the second gear is configured to be rotated by the first gear, move along the second axis of rotation and by moving the puller wire The distal end is deflected. |
