abstract The invention relates to the application of a recombinant adeno-associated virus with astrocyte-specific METTL3 overexpression in the preparation of a medicament for preventing and treating spinal cord injury. The present invention successfully constructs an astrocyte-specific METTL3-overexpressing recombinant adeno-associated virus, which can specifically overexpress METTL3 protein in astrocytes in vivo and target and modify the m 6 A level of downstream YAP1 mRNA , prolong the half-life, maintain the stability of its mRNA and upregulate the expression level of YAP1 protein, promote the activation of reactive astrocytes, improve the function of spinal cord injury, and provide a new way for the clinical treatment of spinal cord injury.
