titleOfInvention Bacteria or virus inactivation device
abstract The present invention provides a device for inactivating bacteria or viruses, which can efficiently inactivate a space where a person may exist while taking into consideration the influence on the human body. The device for inactivating bacteria or viruses includes: a light source that emits ultraviolet rays having a light output in a specific wavelength region belonging to a range of 190 nm to 235 nm; a control unit that controls lighting of the light source; and a sensing unit that senses ultraviolet rays as ultraviolet rays. Whether or not a person exists in a sensing target area of a part of the irradiation area or an area adjacent to the irradiation area. When the sensing unit senses the absence of a person, the control unit controls the light source to increase the cumulative irradiation amount of ultraviolet rays per unit time.
