The invention relates to the technical field of photodetectors, and discloses a photodetector and a preparation method thereof. The photodetector comprises a zinc oxide film and a bismuth vanadate nanofiber compounded on the zinc oxide film. The invention can realize detection in a wide spectral range (UV to NIR region) by using the photodetector obtained by using the zinc oxide thin film and the bismuth vanadate nanofiber composite. At the same time, due to the rapid recombination of photo-generated electron-hole pairs, the quantum efficiency of zinc oxide is low. By combining the two materials, the recombination rate can be reduced, and the local electric field at the interface of the two materials can increase the separation of photo-generated electron-hole pairs. The quantum efficiency of the device can be improved. The photodetector has a wide detection range, can detect from the ultraviolet band to the near-infrared band, the device has high responsivity, and can also improve the quantum luminescence efficiency of the device. Covering the bismuth vanadate nanofibers on the zinc oxide film has a simple manufacturing process and can save a lot of cost. |
