A method of operating a memory device comprising: receiving a sequence of first bits from a host at a first data rate through an input signal pin, the first sequence of bits including a request to change a data rate; passing through an output signal pin at the first data rate sending a second sequence of bits to the host, the second sequence of bits including a response to the request to change the data rate; and changing the data rate to the second data rate according to whether a burst (TOB) is output, the burst ( TOB) indicates the end of the second bit sequence. |
