The invention discloses a gene for controlling birch leaf split traits and its application, and relates to the field of biotechnology. The cDNA nucleotide sequence of the gene is shown in SEQ ID NO:3. The present invention also provides a protein encoded by the gene controlling the split leaf trait of birch birch, and the amino acid sequence of the protein is shown in SEQ ID NO: 4. The present invention also provides an expression vector comprising the gene for controlling split leaf traits of birch birch. The present invention also provides a biological material comprising the expression vector, wherein the biological material is a recombinant microorganism, a transgenic plant cell line, a transgenic plant tissue or a transgenic plant. The birch BpAS2 gene provided by the present invention can control the split leaf trait of birch, and by using the BpAS2 gene to perform CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, a birch edited line with split leaf trait can be obtained. |
