abstract |
A method of characterizing a sample and sample container to be analyzed in an automated diagnostic analysis system. The method can provide segmentation determination and/or HILN determination (hemolytic, icteric, hyperlipidemia or normal) of the specimen while protecting patient information. The method includes: capturing an image of a sample container via an image capture device; identifying a label attached to the sample container in the captured image via an anonymization network; and editing the captured image to mask the label via an anonymization network Some or all of the information present in the image, such that the information is removed from the captured image. Quality checking modules and systems configured to perform the method are also described as other aspects. |
