How to check for cancer |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for detecting specific components in a biological sample (eg, a blood sample) obtained from a subject in order to predict whether the subject has cancer. According to the present invention, there is provided a method comprising isolating one or more components selected from the group consisting of SerpinA3 and Gal3BP in a biological sample. According to the present invention, there is also provided a method comprising using a first molecule selected from the group consisting of a molecule that binds to a BC2LCN-binding sugar chain, a molecule that binds to SerpinA3, and a molecule that binds to Gal3BP and a molecule that binds to BC2LCN The assay performed by the second molecule bound to the binding sugar chain detects glycoproteins contained in a biological sample (eg, blood sample) obtained from a subject. |
