Provided herein are immune response cells with spatiotemporally restricted IL-1 superfamily activity. Immune response cells can further express proteases and chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) or parallel CARs that modulate the activity of the IL-1 superfamily. Also provided herein are methods of making immune response cells and methods of directing T cell-mediated immune responses using immune response cells. |
