The present invention relates to a method of laundering fabrics, wherein the method comprises the steps of: (a) in the main wash step, washing soiled fabrics with an aqueous wash bath comprising a detersive surfactant and a light a bleaching agent; and (b) in the rinsing step, rinsing the soiled fabric with an aqueous rinsing solution, the aqueous rinsing solution comprising a fragrance, which is present and turned on during at least a portion of the main wash step (a) an artificial light source, and said artificial light source provides light to said wash liquor in such a way as to activate photobleach present in said wash liquor, and wherein said rinsing step (b) is turned off during at least a part of said the artificial light source, and the artificial light source does not provide any light to the aqueous rinse solution. |
