The invention discloses an application of a chicken-derived small molecular peptide in preparing a product for preventing and improving liver damage and its secondary symptoms and the product, and relates to the fields of food and medicine and health. Small molecule peptides are naturally occurring free active peptides extracted from chicken, specifically dipeptide Cyclo (L‑Phe‑L‑Phe). The activity of the antioxidant enzyme GPx and the reduction of the level of the oxidative stress product malondialdehyde (MDA) can improve the oxidative stress state of the liver, and significantly improve the liver pathological damage such as liver hemorrhage, liver fibrosis and hepatocyte apoptosis. It has low toxicity, wide medication window and high safety, and can be used in products such as functional foods, health foods, pharmaceuticals, and compositions that prevent or improve liver damage and related secondary symptoms. |
