The invention discloses an allele Du1 ΔA121 of rice with a transparent appearance and low amylose content, and belongs to the field of biotechnology. The gene is deleted from nucleotides 361 to 363 of the first exon of the rice Du1 gene coding region, which contains the gene sequence shown in SEQ ID No.1 and the coding region sequence shown in SEQ ID No.2 . The present invention also discloses a protein encoded by Du1 ΔA121 , which contains the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID No.3. The amylose content control gene of the present invention can also be applied to the breeding of new rice varieties with low amylose content with transparent appearance. The mutant tas1 carrying the homozygous Du1 ΔA121 gene in the present invention has an AC of about 11.0%, a decrease of about 4.5 percentage points. Compared with the soft rice control Nanjing 9108 (AC is 8.7%), the grain transparency is obviously better. |
