The present invention relates to a method by which various substrates, including flexible substrates, can be inkjet printed using one or more aqueous pigment-based inks, each having 75-95% by weight, a) one or more pigment colorants, and b) one or more water-miscible humectants, present in a total amount of at least 1% by weight and up to and including 20% by weight, and consisting essentially of the compound wherein Each compound has a carbon atom to oxygen atom ratio of at least 1.0:1.0 and only two hydroxyl groups. The weight percent amounts of water and b) water-miscible humectant are based on the total weight of each aqueous pigment-based ink. The water-based pigment-based inks are available in ink sets and can be used alone or in combination to provide single-color or multi-color inkjet printed images on a variety of ink receptive media, and using a variety of inkjet printing equipment and methods , including continuous inkjet printing methods. |
