abstract |
The present invention relates to means for conjugation between bacteria, and in particular the present invention relates to carrier (ie, donor) bacteria comprising an antimicrobial agent and methods of use. The carrier bacterium is capable of conjugative transfer of the DNA encoding the antimicrobial agent to the target cell (ie, recipient cell). For these purposes, the present invention provides novel plasmids lacking functional hypC2 nucleotide sequences. |
